Guest Blogging Strategy

It can be pretty good.

Trying to have good SEO is hard; there are so many things to do which can potentially help and so many things which can potentially be harmful. Trying to get things right can often feel like you're just doing random things to appease the great SEO gods, but there's one thing which is probably the most important part of SEO: having lots of links back to your site. Search engine algorithms use these as one of the biggest deciding factors when determining site rankings.

Paying bloggers with well established sites to write blog posts about your business used to be one of the best ways to boost your rankings, but this method is no longer as good as it used to be because of a change in Google's terms and conditions: they do not allow people to buy links and they see paying for a guest blog post as an example of buying a link. So how can you get around this? Well, instead of paying bloggers to write a post about you on their site, you can ask them to write a post for your own blog because you love their writing style and you can then ask that they link to this in the next blog post on their own site. This is the kind of thing a blogger would do naturally anyway and so it wouldn't be strange to ask, but it will still give your site the SEO benefit of a new link and won't cause.

So if you've done everything you can to make your eCommerce site as SEO friendly and presentable as possible, then it might be time to push forward with a link-building campaign to really boost those search engine rankings. Hopefully this strategy will help your site to rank more highly and cause you to make more sales!
