Thanksgiving Business Tips

RomanCart is based in the UK (we've got a lovely office in the heart of Bath) and Thanksgiving is a holiday which most people in the UK do not celebrate. We know that a lot (though certainly not all) of RomanCart users are based in the UK too, so I can imagine that some people are reading this and wondering why we're taking the time to write a Thanksgiving themed blog post. Well, keep on reading and you will find your answer!

Even if you're a UK-based business, it's a good idea to acknowledge Thanksgiving in some way with your business. The fact is that when a business goes online, it is suddenly something which people from all over the world can gain access to. Are you aware of where your customers are coming from? It could be America! American customers might appreciate (some may even expect) you to do some kind of Thanksgiving tie-in.  For some businesses, you'll see a spike in sales because people will be buying things which they use on Thanksgiving (so, like, if you sold fancy cutlery or something) because people tend to throw big family gatherings, which will require supplies. Furthermore, for a lot of Americans, Thanksgiving is the last big thing before they go into Christmas-mode. It's quite possible that as Thanksgiving day begins to wind down, they'll head on over to the internet and maybe visit some eCommerce websites to get a head start on their Christmas shopping!

So, whether you're in England or America, it would be a good idea for you to acknowledge the coming of Thanksgiving in some way. Maybe provide some limited time offers and start promoting them on social media, with Thanksgiving themed images. For those who don't know, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November and this year that will be on the 26th. Whatever it is that you ultimately decide to do, I hope that your eCommerce website will continue to grow and prosper.
