Paid Facebook Marketing

Social media marketing is a very effective tool for reaching and engaging with new and potential customers. Twitter is fantastic because, for no cost at all, you can browse through hashtags and other people's followers to find and target specific people who you think could become customers. But how do you do something so effective on Facebook? Well, I'm afraid you're going to have to pay...

Don't get me wrong – I'm not going to charge you to access this helpful blog content (ha!) I am merely telling you about the sad fact that you'll need to pay Facebook to get the most out of them as a marketing platform. But before you do pay Facebook, you need to do a bit of research; Facebook gives you the ability to directly target specific groups of people, so if you're going to pay for that service you really need to be completely clear about who it is you're trying to target. The more specific you can be, the more effective your marketing will be, so you need to hone it down as much as possible.

Try doing it for only a short time initially – it's possible that the people you're targeting don't use Facebook very much, so you may find that it's not effective for this reason. You also might find this technique to be ineffective because you're not creating content which people will be interested in: it's important that content is interesting and engaging, rather than being purely sales based. But with these pieces of information in mind, hopefully you'll be able to do a good job of Facebook marketing. This could ultimately prove to be a very useful way to drive traffic to your site and increase sales!
