Win Wednesday Promotions

If you're running an eCommerce website then there's a good chance that you are doing some social media marketing to help promote it. Social media marketing, as I am sure I've said many times before, is a great way to keep in touch with your existing customers while also reaching new ones. What's more is that a solid social media output can make a business look friendly and appealing; this is a good way to earn people's trust and if people can trust you, they're much more likely to buy from you.

But the thing is it can hard to think of what to say on your social media feeds. Ideally you need to be posting every single day, which means you always need to have some fresh ideas. One thing that might provide you with some social media inspiration is #WinWednesday. #WinWednesday is something which many businesses on social media take part in each Wednesday; essentially what happens is an item is offered for free in a tweet (it usually is a Twitter thing) but only one person will get it. To be in for a chance of winning the free product, somebody will have to retweet and follow you and, because everybody loves free things, lots of people will do this. The more retweets you get, the more people you reach and all of the people you reach will be quite impressed with you because they like the idea of business's giving away free things. Since they’ll have followed you, your regular social media activity will ensure they never forget you, too.

Of course, it is quite expensive to give away a free product, so for your eCommerce business, maybe #WinWednesday won't be every Wednesday, but it's a good thing to try every now and then and a good way to boost your number of followers. Who knows how many of the people who find you through this promotion will go on to become regular customers? Whatever you decide to do, I hope that you will be able to come up with a lot of good social media content, reach lots of new customers and make lots of sales!
