Four Benefits of Advertising on Facebook

Back in the day some of the best ways to market a business would be by putting an ad in the yellow pages or putting up a business card in a local shop. (Oh, how everything was very different back then.) Over the past decade the masses fled to the internet and now well over 1 billion people are active on Facebook, over 400 million use Instagram and 320 million are on Twitter. Therefore, it is safe to say that social media platforms are definitely worth advertising on. If you still can’t quite get your head around social media, then here are some benefits to advertising on Facebook.

  1. To advertise on Facebook is really simple. Simply login to your account, find the “create adverts” tab from the drop down menu and bam, you can create an advert just like that. Facebook are also pretty helpful. If you click the “advertising on Facebook” link—which is beneath the “create adverts”—there is even more information on how to set up your advert.

  2. Facebook comments that “we show adverts to all the right people based on age, gender, location, interests and so much more.” This means most of the hard work is already done for you as it ensures that your advert is reaching your intended target market.

  3. Facebook adverts can direct people straight to your website or app. The point of an advert is to direct potential customers to your website for further information or to your eCommerce shop right? Well gaining a new customer could be as easy as them clicking a button which refers them to your website.

  4. The Facebook interface makes it easy for other Facebook users to find you. As people click the “like” button on your advert, their “like” can appear on their mutual friend’s news feeds, therefore generating some more potential “likes” from an audience you may not have access to. You could even reach people on the other side of the world.
