When you first start up your eCommerce business, things may seem a little difficult. Maybe it's harder to attract customers than you'd hoped, you're a little unsure of how to make your website do a certain thing, you're not too sure about what to do with marketing and so on. If that is the case and you're starting to think that maybe you should give up; don't do it. It is natural to face unexpected hurdles at the start of a business venture, everybody does, and your business may well be a huge success yet!
Journalist and author Malcolm Gladwell says that, if you want to be an expert at something, you need to spend ten thousand hours working on it. That means that you'll need to be developing your skills for years. You can apply this rule to your eCommerce business; you may not be an expert yet, but you will get better and the more you work the better you will become. The popularity of your business will grow just as your understanding and experience grows. Virtually nobody is an overnight success and you're going to have to put the work in; but you know what? That's admirable, that's impressive. You had an idea and you wanted to bring that idea to life and you should be proud of that. If things aren’t going exactly as planned at the start, don't feel bad; keep at it. Things will turn around and you'll realise that your hard work all paid off in the end.
So if you started up your eCommerce business a month or two ago and you'd hoped to be more of a success by now, I hope that's been a little inspiring to you. We've seen people become huge successes with their eCommerce websites and you can do it to. I wish you all the best and growing popularity for your business.
