Using Google + for Social Media Marketing

When it comes to social media marketing, a lot of people will neglect Google + in order to focus on the bigger names like Facebook and Twitter. Not all that many people use Google + and it's probably one of the least popular of the social media websites, so it seems logical to ignore it in favour of the more successful pages. But, actually, Google + does have quite a unique value all on its own and in this blog post I would like to tell you a little about how Google + can help your business.

Google +, very obviously, is a social media service that was created by Google. As you'll know, Google are best known for their search engine, which is the most used search engine in the world. Google actually use Google + as a way to determine whether or not a website is very well renowned. Therefore, if you had a lot of followers on Google +, the chances of your website ranking highly on internet searches is increased! Plus, while Google + is one of the least popular social media websites, it is still used by thousands of people and therefore still gives you the chance to reach many new customers. So, by all means, Google + is still a key player in the social media marketing arena!

You also should consider the fact that, if somebody has a Gmail account, then they'll have a Google + account too (even if they don't use it) and you could get them to follow you with it. For example, if you ran some kind of giveaway you could say that by following you on Google + a person would gain some extra chances to win. The giveaway would come and go and the customer will probably never really use their Google + account, but they will follow you forever and that will always be a good thing! Hopefully this information has been useful and you will be able to use Google + to market your eCommerce website well.
